Sylvia Vardell is an established academic with a significant body of scholarship and writing. She has authored or co-authored a dozen books on teaching with children’s literature and published more than 100 articles in various journals. She collaborates with poet and author Janet Wong on the acclaimed Poetry Friday Anthology series for Pomelo Books. She is the recipient of the ALA Scholastic Library Publishing Award and the TWU Distinction in Scholarship Award for her body of work. Her books include:
